New Urban Forestry recently sponsored print copies of an educational booklet for the South Jackson Elementary School Trail System. Citizens for South and Oconee Rivers Audubon Society are developing a bird education program for use by teachers and the community on the South Jackson Elementary School Trails (3+ miles of trails, built by a teacher and maintained by volunteers). They just completed an educational booklet, which the teachers and students will use in the classroom and while on the trails. We took a field trip out to the trail to see all the amazing work that they have put into this trail system. It’s truly inspiring.
