We are pleased to bring you the new landscaping division of New Urban Forestry!
New Urban Forestry leads the industry in Athens, GA and the surrounding area for responsible arboriculture and maintaining the urban forest in a sustainable and environmentally ethical process. As New Urban Forestry has shown attention to detail in arboriculture and urban forestry, New Urban Landscape will bring the same ethics and goals to your residential and commercial landscape. New Urban Landscape will strive to design and build beautiful, sustainable landscapes with a focus on ecological health. The ecological cycle in the landscape is broken in the conventional landscapes, replaced with synthetic chemicals and poisons. New Urban Landscape will team with the arborists of New Urban Forestry to restore the nutrient cycle in the urban landscape, through the biomass generated from New Urban Forestry, we will restore soils, control erosion, naturally control invasive species, and increase the biodiversity and health of the landscape.
Hall Roberts — Landscape Manager
Hall Roberts grew up in the MS Delta 20 miles from the Mississippi River and a short walk from the Sunflower River. Growing up in the ag-intensive area of Mississippi, Hall was witness to the environmental degradation that was caused by large industrial agriculture in that region. While pursuing his Master of Landscape Architecture degree at Mississippi State, he found that landscaping could not only make someone’s yard look beautiful and well-kempt but can save the planet! Hall found that techniques such as native plantings to increase wildlife health and biodiversity; watershed management to mitigate erosion and stormwater runoff; permaculture design to eradicate hunger; and land use planning to design a world for future generations were all in the realm of “landscaping” and he urges you to look out your window and see that your landscape is much more than shrubs and grass, it is an opportunity to change the world!
